Darkwood Coffee

Darkwood Coffee approached Performa at a critical moment — they had an exceptional product and a beautiful physical space, but nobody knew they existed online. Their Instagram had 47 followers and hadn't been updated in months.

We started with the brand. The existing visual identity felt inconsistent and didn't reflect the premium, cozy experience they offered in store. We redesigned their color palette around deep browns, warm creams, and charcoal black — colors that felt as rich as their coffee.

Then we built their entire social media presence from scratch. We created a content calendar mixing product shots, behind-the-scenes reels, customer testimonials, and educational posts about coffee culture. Every post was designed to stop the scroll and make people want to visit.

By combining strong visuals, consistent storytelling, and community-focused content, our goal was to increase brand awareness, attract new customers, and build a loyal audience around the brand experience.

Strategy

For Darkwood Coffee, we built a strategy centered around creating a strong lifestyle-oriented brand presence that would stand out in the competitive food & beverage space. We developed a cohesive visual identity with warm, cinematic aesthetics and consistent branding across all social platforms. On social media, we focused on a mix of product-focused content, atmospheric café visuals, behind-the-scenes moments, and short-form videos designed to create emotional engagement and encourage sharing. We also optimized the content calendar around peak engagement times and used storytelling-driven captions to strengthen the connection between the brand and its audience, helping position Darkwood Coffee as a modern and experience-driven coffee shop.

Results

Following the implementation of the new branding and social media strategy, Darkwood Coffee experienced a noticeable increase in online engagement and brand recognition. The content generated higher interaction rates through shares, comments, and story engagement, while the more cohesive visual identity helped strengthen the brand’s image and consistency across platforms.
